Types of ownership in the UAE

Foreign property buyers in the UAE are free to enter into transactions in certain regions. In the Emirates, there are several types of home ownership. The first form - a "freehold" or unconditional right to ownership of real estate, followed by inheritance. The second type is the so called "leasehold" and the homebuyers acquire the right to rent a house for 99 years. Thus, they do not have inheritance rights, but receive the right to resell these objects.
