Grimalda is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful sights in central Istria, located on a 447 meter high hill.
It was first mentioned in 1202 as the property of the patriarchs of Aquileia, which was taken over by Venice in 1420. Nevertheless, the settlement existed in prehistoric times. There is evidence that the village of our era was founded on a fortress from that time. Located in the border area, Grimalda suffered many times in the conflicts between Austria and Venice in the 16th and 17th centuries. For sale is a stone house near Grimalda with a total living area of 70 m2. The house is the last in the row and was recently renovated, and it is spread over two floors.
